Lani Jo joined Aurora in 2009, and says it felt like being home—a place of acceptance and belonging. She’s a polymath when it comes to the arts. In addition to singing, she is an actor, poet, author, photographer, experimental filmmaker and documentarian. From 2012 through 2022, Lani Jo owned and operated the Clinton Street Theater in SE Portland, turning it into a thriving community space with nonprofit fundraisers, independent movies and theater, live music and other special events. She loves being a grandmother and a great-grandmother most of all.
